The brief was to create awareness around the growing illegal international trade in wildlife and wildlife products. We all know about the trade in rhino horn, but many animals are becoming endangered and almost wiped out without us knowing. Our elephants are being decimated for their ivory which is carved into ornaments and jewellery. Our pangolin scales are ground down for use in traditional medicine in the belief that the medicine cures everything from the common cold to cancer.
This ad campaign was featured in the Saturday Citizen (a nation wide newspaper) and won an Orchid award.
